Little Scary Sled
Wrecks!  It's funny, I was just thinking about this yesterday morning... kind of  like a drawing or cartoon (which it would look like if I ever tried to draw  anything!) of a potential wreck or dangerous situation and then asking folks  what they could see "wrong" with the picture. The reason I was thinking this  was because I had used a big plastic sled to haul a bale of hay into the  corral where or two weanling fillies live.

Of course they were very impressed with the new SCARY thing, but being  good Spanish Mustang's the next thing they wanted to do was investigate  what in the heck it was. Since I also throw hay across the fence to their  parents it would have been easy for me to forget and just leave the sled  (with its long plastic rope) lying on the ground while I heaved the hay over.

I thought about a panicked foal with a loud plastic sled attached to her  leg, I envisioned all sorts of vet bills and picked the sled's rope up and  pulled to towards me, letting the fillies sniff it and bite on it, but making sure  no one got tangled in it. It is easy to forget how quickly a horse can get into  trouble when you don't think something through.
